Ceramic pieces don't really work as public sculpture. The elements are just too hard on ceramics glazes. So this piece was showing quite a bit of wear and tear when we viewed it in late 2021, and it looks like it might be coming off its base. One excellent thing about the label however — it actually invites the reader to touch the piece!
