There is a time capsure buried beneath the sculpture. Alas, as is the case with too many public sculptures, the base is poorly finished. Here part of the reason is the 'access hatch' that was built into the base of the sculpture for the time capsule. A third figure ('tomorrow'?) stands on the balcony above these two. This sculpture is proudly sponsored by the National Fire Prevention Council, in recognition of the fire fighters and rescuers who risk their lives and go beyond the call of duty in protecting and saving lives and property for a safe and secure Singapore.
