Fire Safety for Singapore - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

artist unknown

First placed in Singapore: 2002

Central Fire Station, in front of the Civil Defense Heritage Gallery

Patron: Singapore National Fire Prevention Council

There is a time capsure buried beneath the sculpture. Alas, as is the case with too many public sculptures, the base is poorly finished. Here part of the reason is the 'access hatch' that was built into the base of the sculpture for the time capsule. A third figure ('tomorrow'?) stands on the balcony above these two. ‍ (Photo by Choo Yut Shing - CC-By-NC)
