The first seed of love was a small painting just inches high, commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art in New York City in 1964, which blossomed into the first sculptured version in carved aluminium one-foot high two years later. In 1970 the first twelve-foot version bloomed in cor-ten steel and was acquired by the artist's hometown museum n Indianapolis, Indiana. This polychrome bouquet for Singapore fulfills a long dream.
