Gerard d'Alton Henderson

Born 1928, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Died August 2, 2014

According to his now defunct homepage at http://www.gerarddhenderson.com/, Henderson has had quite a career creating art in architectural settings, especially in hotels. In 1955 he was said to have painted two murals for the main lobby of the Raffles Hotel and in 1970s a series of murals for the Mandarin, Singapore. The Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong owed much of its look to Henderson. Has a nice line in east/west rhetoric.
